I was recently in a car accident and experiencing some pain due to whiplash. I knew massage would help, so I took to Yelp to find a local therapist. IMR Massage was a top result, and I decided to book with them (despite their premium prices) based on their glowing reviews specifically for post-accident "medical" massage therapy.
My first visit was an unmitigated disaster - easily the worst massage I have ever received! The "therapist" had a skills commensurate with what I'd expect from a random person off the street. To his credit, he interviewed me about my condition and checked in about pressure preferences, which he accommodated. However, my issue was not the pressure, but his technique. He had only a few moves in his quiver - bluntly rolling a knot in my shoulder back and forth over and over, roughly "plucking" the muscles along my spine against the grain, and rubbing open palms up and down my back. The first two moves became so painful I had to ask him to stop. He then simply rubbed up and down my back for at least 30 minutes - no kneading, no targeted pressure, nothing. I was so shocked and uncomfortable throughout the whole process, I contemplated getting up and leaving. Unfortunately I chose to stay, and ended up in more pain than when I arrived (not "good pain" from grinding things out). When the receptionist asked how my massage was, I took a deep breath and shared that it was a surprisingly painful, disappointing experience. She was very apologetic and offered me a comped session if I would come back for another try, which I accepted.
My second visit was a few days later - and it was great! Michael was my therapist this time around, and he was careful to ask lots of questions, start off slow and gentle, and check in with me throughout the massage. The massage itself was a night-and-day improvement over the first. Michael used several effective techniques that demonstrated his skill as a trained, professional massage therapist. In the end, I felt quite a bit of relief!
I am very grateful for the excellent customer service. IMR took me seriously, and made sure I got what I was looking for. Crap happens - not every service encounter is going to be excellent - but IMR showed their integrity in their desire to make things right.
Would I go back? Yes! Would I recommend IMR? Yes, with one caveat - know your therapist.

Absolutely love coming here for my massages! I have booked with Matt every time and he exceeds my expectations each time. Seriously, you will not be disappointed! My favorite add ons are the CBD creams and hot stones.

Wonderful. Probably the best massage I've ever had, and I get a lot of them. Aaron Hernandez listened to my issues and executed perfectly. Relaxing, therapeutic and professional. Everything you could want in a massage.

Great atmosphere, great massage by the therapist that I had (I forgot her name ). They were also able to accommodate three of us with an appointment as we called the day before.
I would have given 5 stars but my massage therapist back home has a slight edge over the massage I got there.
If I visit Vegas again, I would return there. The price point and service received was ...

Crystal is my massage hero! I came in with severe lower back pain. I often get massages to help but she was able to get to pains that no one else had. I felt completely comfortable and safe. I also like that they use Unscented lotion. So, if you are sensitive at all, you'll do well here. I would resoundingly recommend Crystal and IMR to anyone! Thank you so much.
