If you are looking for a massage in a soothing environment by an experienced massage therapist, this is the place for you!
I've had a number of 60/90 minute massages here by different massage therapists--every massage has been great!
Also, it might be worth noting, I'm an unapologetic fat queer person, and this place has always been welcoming and respectful. A+ for a consistent body positive experience.
It's not the cheapest place for a massage, but you get what you pay for and IMR is one of the best!
Take it from this professor, A+ all around.

I came to IMR Massage yesterday for my first massage and it was absolutely perfect. I feel incredible today. Denise was my massage therapist, and she literally worked all the kinks out of my neck and shoulders, and also applied cupping to my sore areas. I'll definitely be back once I'm all healed up.

I was recently in a car accident and experiencing some pain due to whiplash. I knew massage would help, so I took to Yelp to find a local therapist. IMR Massage was a top result, and I decided to book with them (despite their premium prices) based on their glowing reviews specifically for post-accident "medical" massage therapy.
My first visit was an unmitigated disaster - easily the worst massage I have ever received! The "therapist" had a skills commensurate with what I'd expect from a random person off the street. To his credit, he interviewed me about my condition and checked in about pressure preferences, which he accommodated. However, my issue was not the pressure, but his technique. He had only a few moves in his quiver - bluntly rolling a knot in my shoulder back and forth over and over, roughly "plucking" the muscles along my spine against the grain, and rubbing open palms up and down my back. The first two moves became so painful I had to ask him to stop. He then simply rubbed up and down my back for at least 30 minutes - no kneading, no targeted pressure, nothing. I was so shocked and uncomfortable throughout the whole process, I contemplated getting up and leaving. Unfortunately I chose to stay, and ended up in more pain than when I arrived (not "good pain" from grinding things out). When the receptionist asked how my massage was, I took a deep breath and shared that it was a surprisingly painful, disappointing experience. She was very apologetic and offered me a comped session if I would come back for another try, which I accepted.
My second visit was a few days later - and it was great! Michael was my therapist this time around, and he was careful to ask lots of questions, start off slow and gentle, and check in with me throughout the massage. The massage itself was a night-and-day improvement over the first. Michael used several effective techniques that demonstrated his skill as a trained, professional massage therapist. In the end, I felt quite a bit of relief!
I am very grateful for the excellent customer service. IMR took me seriously, and made sure I got what I was looking for. Crap happens - not every service encounter is going to be excellent - but IMR showed their integrity in their desire to make things right.
Would I go back? Yes! Would I recommend IMR? Yes, with one caveat - know your therapist.
